Asphalt Paving Pellets: 80% High quality asphalt oil reacted with 20%(GTR) ground tire rubber for one hour then 1% (by total mix weight) of hydrated lime is proportionately added for anti-strip and pelleting. If desired by customer, they are coated with a 2 to 4% ‘warm-mix polymer” shell.
Moreover, these products often cost less than the current “non-green”-less effective polymer asphalts and substantially conform to ADOT specifications. Add our 70/30 blend to the hot plant by RAP collar or a feeder into the mix chamber with the hot aggregate and add your local bitumen at 1 to 2%, they melt and VOILA: GTR (ground tire rubber) pavement without the hassle or production restrictions.
Now smaller and remote projects are possible as well as large ones and any hot plant can make quality asphalt rubber hot or warm mix…..All the bennies, none of the hassle!
