Billian I.P., Limited is not the only company that realizes bitumen modified with tire crumb rubber is the apex of asphalt paving. *

We just happen to be the only one able to pellet the highest quality asphalt rubber for unlimited storage/shipping with no energy/pollution cost AND incorporate a hydrated lime ‘anti-strip’ into the pellets!

Problems solved:

  • No insulated trucks or steam rail cars or ships needed to haul bitumen anymore.

  • No heated bitumen tanks or mixers required during storage.

  • No additional equipment & contractors at hot plant site needed.

  • No separation of binder nor plugging of bitumen lines and pumps.

  • No fumes emitted during storage and transport.

  • No need for adding an anti-strip to the bitumen (with Paving Pellets, it is in there!)

We use the proven 20% fine crumb rubber – ‘wet method’ formulation and not the synthetic blends for the best binder results. Get rid of 2,000 waste tires per mile, save the planet AND make better bitumen.

FYI: ground tire rubber is used the world around.

*Example: A Shell bitumen plant in India was launched in December 2006 at Uluberia, near Kolkata in West Bengal. The plant is a modified bitumen and emulsion production plant that will produce a range of special application bituminous products including Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen.

China, EU, Mexico and Canada all have GTR – Ground Tire Rubber programs and many more countries are realizing the benefits of Asphalt Rubber Pavements. The future looks bright for this technology after 40 years of proving the ‘wet process’ is best.

You've heard about how the auto manufacturers have increased the fuel efficiency in today's vehicles, but have you ever heard about fuel-efficient roads?

It's true.  Several studies have demonstrated that smoother roads with less rutting, roughness and fatigue cracking help achieve greater fuel efficiency for the vehicles traveling upon them.  And the roads last longer!  Because asphalt-rubber pavements last longer and resist cracking better than regular asphalt roads, tremendous savings can be obtained through the project's life cycle.  Let's take a look.
