EZ-Bitumen

EZ-Bitumen is a blend of high quality asphalt oil and hydrated lime pelletized and coated with a 2 to 3% polymer shell depending upon the PG grade desired. The pellets can be formulated for hot mix asphalt or warm mix asphalt. The lime is proportionately added such that it will be 1% by weight of the total finished asphalt/aggregate mix as an anti-strip. The pellets are added to the heated aggregate via a RAP collar or feeder in the hot mix plant. They will melt within 20-30 seconds and thoroughly coat the aggregate during the mix manufacturing process.

EZ-Bitumen often costs less than current polymer asphalts and conforms to most highway specifications. EZ-Bitumen Paving Pellets™ are transported and stored at ambient temperatures. The pellets are ideal for remote and small projects, as well as all hot or warm mix asphalt projects.
